Now I need to some how get some or make some replacement pieces of wood. I read online that you can use sprays you can mix together green apple cider and white distilled vinegar but do a test piece on like a toy first and make sure they don’t like it before you accidentally turn your entire cage into a Hantzel and Gretel gingerbread house situation and they eat the whole thing like a damn cookie. I’m gonna make it up today and see how it works because I can’t seem to find any other solutions I’ve already put you toys all around the surrounding areas and tried to keep an ion her I’ve gotten up multiple times throughout the night and stopped her I keep the cage right next to my bed but it only takes two seconds for her to ruin it her little teeth are so sharp. (luckily it’s not dangerous for rabbits to eat wood the fibers are actually good for their diet it’s just ugly and not good for me lol) The only other thing I can say is it’s not very easy to get a litter box in and out of the bottom luckily my rabbit chose to use the upper second story to go potty so I found a litter box that fit perfectly in there because the trays are too shallow that if your rabbit poops or peas directly onto the floor in the cage it will leak out onto the ground. So I’ve gotten my rabbit litter box trained to go in the specific area the area that she had chose was upstairs which is more convenient for me because I can just open the lid and pull it out I don’t have to go through the bottom. So it does leak if you don’t have a rabbit that you can get trained to go into another container (pictures for example) I even have a corner litter box in the bottom just in case she wants to use it but she chooses to just hang out and use it like a Hamic every time I’ve checked there’s been no signs of poop or pee in it. She was choosing to go upstairs even before I put the litter box upstairs. My solution was a disposable cats litter box that I was able to cut a little hole out and use that for the upstairs for the downstairs I bought one made for rabbits but she doesn’t like to use it for potty she does lay in it as a hammock lounge though \nOther than that I took my grandpa and I about 30 minutes with a power tool drill and the two of us to put it together and appears to be pretty sturdy but I wouldn’t recommend using it outside. Easy to assemble. I only used a Phillips screw driver to put together. I needed my Daughters help to hold up a section twice but other than that I did it all by myself. Trust me, I’m not handy with tools. Very sturdy. All pieces are numbered so no guessing. Screws are bagged individually and lettered by their size. Package wasn’t extremely heavy to bring into the house. Maybe 20lbs. Looks amazing put together. The drawers pull out easily. Something i want to say bout it for rats specifically if any other rat owners want to use it, is keep in mind my boys can fit bout half their face through the bars but not their entire body (they spent the night in it and were still there when i checked on them this morning) but they are, i wanna say, bout 1 or 2 yrs old.. so if you have younger, smaller rats this may be too big it jus happens to work for my boys and they love it. It did take two of us to put it together so that one person could hold the walls and the other could screw them together. A drill was helpful for getting the screws in. There are a few design elements I would change if I were redesigning this hutch.\n1. I would add a second door to the lower area on the right side of the house. You can see my litter box in the back right corner and it is quite a stretch to reach in and clean it.\n2. I would add an exit ramp. I purchased one to use that you see in pictures, but it would be nice as an added feature.\nWhat I really like:\n1. The roof on the second floor lifts. That is very helpful with cleaning.\n2. The plastic floors are easy to clean. (You can slide them out, but I don’t use that feature)\n3. It has wheels that lock. And most importantly, we HAD to add carpet to the wood piece that is used for going up and down to the 2nd level.?
